PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SmarterTools Inc. is proud to announce an agreement with Commtouch® (NASDAQ: CTCH) to provide Commtouch Anti-Spam with its SmarterMail mail server software. With the release of SmarterMail 6.x, Commtouch Anti-Spam will be available as an optional add-on for those users who want to enhance the mail server’s out-of-the-box anti-spam functionality.

While other mail servers may require users to choose between a third-party or integrated solution, SmarterMail’s unique architecture allows administrators to extend their anti-spam protection through multiple solutions,” said Tim Uzzanti, CEO of SmarterTools.
Although SmarterMail 6.x will continue to provide up to 97% spam protection out of the box, the additional functionality of the Commtouch add-on will provide customers with nearly 100% spam protection.

The Commtouch add-on will be sold in licensing levels that correspond with the SmarterMail product levels. Pricing will be based on a yearly subscription that is consistent with SmarterTools’ commitment to exceptional value.
