Commtouch Announces the Appointment of Lior Samuelson to its Board of Directors

Sunnyvale, CA – August 2, 2010 – Commtouch® (Nasdaq: CTCH), a leading email and Web security technology provider, announced today that Lior Samuelson, founder and managing partner of Mercator Capital, a merchant bank specializing in advising and investing in the technology and telecom sectors, is joining Commtouch’s board of directors.

“We’re delighted that Lior Samuelson has accepted our invitation to join our board,” said Gideon Mantel, Commtouch chief executive officer and chairman of the board. “His decades of experience in strategy, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets along with his proven expertise in technology and telecom companies will provide Commtouch with valuable insight and perspective to aid in positioning us for further long-term growth.”

During his extensive career, Mr. Samuelson served as chairman, CEO and board member of several companies in technology, telecom, financial services and management consulting.  In 2008, he was the chairman of Deltathree (DDDC); from 1997 to 1999, he was the president and CEO of PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities.

Prior to that, he was the president and CEO of The Barents Group, a merchant bank specializing in advising and investing in companies in emerging markets. He previously was a managing partner with KPMG and held a senior management position at Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Mr. Samuelson earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Economics from Virginia Tech.
