AVAR is an independent and not-for-profit organization which is oriented in Asia Pacific region. AVAR consists of prominent experts on computer virus from various areas such as Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, UK, and U.S.A. Our independence helps us to play an important role to fight against computer virus globally and to raise users' awareness on computer security issues.

AVIEWS is an international on-line community dedicated to a cooperative, grassroots information sharing effort to reduce the impact of malicious code (viruses, worms, Trojan Horses, Spyware) and other related vulnerabilities. Its members include anti-virus vendors, researchers, security experts, product testers, journalists, systems administrators, and a whole lot more besides.

Image Analyser Ltd provides an image analysis engine, which can identify inappropriate or pornographic images in digital data transmission. The company incorporates proprietary 'best of breed' image analysis technology and individuals who possess years of experience in the IT security market. The company operates on an OEM basis to major IT software and hardware vendors across a broad range of market sectors, including Email and Web, telecommunications, online storage etc. Having recently partnered with Intel, Image Analyzers' goal is to provide world class technology that is fast and accurate, whilst offering the highest levels of customer service. The company has offices in the UK, Asia Pac. and the US.

The IWF is the only authorized organization in the UK operating an internet 'hotline' for the public and IT professionals to report their exposure to potentially illegal content online. The aim is to minimize the availability of potentially illegal internet content, specifically:

• Child abuse images hosted anywhere in the world
• Criminally obscene content hosted in the UK
• Incitement to racial hatred content hosted in the UK

Commtouch joined the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and launched a new IT tool to combat the abuse of children on the Internet. The IWF-managed list of websites containing images of child abuse will be incorporated into Commtouch's Anti-Spam solution to screen emails containing abusive content and flag them as non-compliant.

The Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group is a global organization focusing on preserving electronic messaging from online exploits and abuse with the goal of enhancing user trust and confidence, while ensuring the deliverability of legitimate messages. With a broad base of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and network operators representing over 600 million mailboxes, key technology providers and senders, MAAWG works to address messaging abuse by focusing on technology, industry collaboration and public policy initiatives.

West Coast Labs is an independent organization, which tests information security products. West Coast Labs has also developed the Checkmark certification system into one of the world's foremost certification programs. As one of the leading brands in the USA and the de facto standard in Europe and Asia Pacific, the Checkmark System has developed into an integrated system of standards that are recognized around the world as reliable indicators of performance levels.
