Several Threat Protection Modules use these detection techniques along with intelligent rules created in the GlobalView Cloud to accurately detect malware hidden in PDF files, HTML and Java scripts, archive files and many more. Threat Protection Modules also reference the GlobalView Cloud for objects that match certain suspicious heuristic characteristics – such as rarely-seen variants of viruses.
